Job Description - The candidate will work in the Drug Discovery department to support pre-clinical and clinical development of drug candidates for human use. He/she will work as part of drug discovery team to develop novel chemical entities and to produce sufficient quantities to support animal testing, toxicology and human trials of these drug candidates. The individual should have detailed experience in the process development research and engineering necessary to produce multiple kilograms of material for human testing.
Requirements - PhD in Chemistry, chemical engineering or a related discipline, with 10 years of experience in the industry of scale-up production of pharmaceutical agents using current methods. Experience with chiral resolution methods is desirable. The candidate must have good management skills with excellent communication skills. Experience managing outside contract laboratories and affiliates is desirable. Experience with GLP/GMP production and regulatory requirements are also desirable.
